Apple’s alleged iPhone 17 Pro Max Handset has been seen in a new hands-on video that displays the design of the smartphone. It is expected to arrive at the end of this year, the iPhone 17 Pro Max may be slightly thicker (and possibly heavy) compared to its predecessor, iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although it may be the richest model of the series, recent reports suggest that Apple is also working on a very thin smartphone with a single rear camera, which has been dubbed the iPhone 17 Air.

Tipster @Majinbuofficial published a video to appear to be the iPhone 17 Pro Max Dummy Unit on X (East Twitter). This is not the first time that the design of the iPhone 17 Pro Max has been leaked, and we can see the rear panels, displays and edges of Apple’s flagship smartphone.
The video takes us a look at a dummy unit of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is seen for the convenience of an extended rear camera island. There are three rear cameras on the left, while LED flash and lidar scanners are located on the right.
While the video does not reveal the dimensions of the device, the iPhone 17 Pro Max appears to be clearly thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This corresponds to the previous prediction from a tipster, which claimed that the iPhone 17 Pro Max would be 8.725 mm thick. Its predecessor, apple currently the top-line handset, is 8.25 mm thick.
The reason for the increased thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently unclear. Apple can use additional space to keep a large battery, or a vapor room cooling system in the house that is also found on many mid-range and flagship Android handsets.
If these claims are correct, the iPhone 17 Pro Max iPhone 17 lineup is likely to have the thickest phone, while the iPhone 17 can be the thinnest model with a thickness of 5.5 mm. However, it is best to take all leaks with a grain of salt, as Apple is expected to reveal details about the iPhone 17 series in the second half of the year only.
