A new plant creating iPhones in southern India has started production and will start shipment in another May, as Apple wants to promote manufacturing beyond its Tariff-Hit Main Manufacturing Center, China, said sources.
Apple is creating a position of India as an alternative manufacturing base for China, as a trade war between Washington and Beijing is, US President Donald Trump’s threatening to threaten the disruption of supply chain with more than 100 percent tariffs on China and stop the possibility of an increase in iPhone prices.
