The Samsung W25 was launched as the Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in China last year. Now, Samsung is getting ready to unveil W26 as a successor. Next to any official announcement, the Book-style foldable phone was reportedly seen on China’s compulsory certification (3C) authority, indicating its charging speed. The Samsung W26 foldable phone is likely to offer charging speed similar to its predecessor.
Samsung W26 allegedly receives 3C certification in China
According to a report by XpertPick, A Samsung phone bearing model number SM-W9026 3C certification is obtained in China. The model number SM-W9025 was carried forward since last year’s Samsung W25, the report states that the upcoming SM-W9026 will probably be launched as Samsung W26 in the Chinese market.
The listing screenshot shows that the upcoming Samsung W26 foldable is compatible with a charger bearing model number EP-TA800 that supports 25W wired charging speed.
Last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, and Samsung W25 provide the same 25W wired charging speed. The report reports on the 3C listing device suggested satellite connectivity. It also indicates that the phone will not include a charger in the box.
The Samsung W25 was unveiled as a Chinese counterpart of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition in November last year, declared in South Korea in October. W25 is available in China CNY 15,999 (about Rs 1,90,000) for base models with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is thin and lighter than the standard Galaxy Z fold 6. This single 16GB RAM + 512GB was declared with a price tag of KRW 2,789,600 (about Rs 1,70,000) for storage configuration.
Like the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is equipped with Snapdragon 8 gene 3 and 200-megapixel primary primary rear camera for Galaxy SOC. It has an 8-inch internal screen and a 6.5-inch external display. The folding state measures 10.6 mm in thickness and weighs 236g.
In particular, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be launched later in Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked Event today. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to pack 4,400mAh battery with the same 25W wired charging speed.
