Sources said that Kaushal Joshi, wife of former Rajasthan minister and Congress leader Mahesh Joshi, died on Monday morning after a long illness in a hospital in Jaipur.
This death comes four days after the Enforcement Directorate arrested Joshi in a case related to irregularities in the implementation of water life mission in the state.
Kaushal Joshi was suffering from brain bleeding and was admitted to a private hospital. He breathed him on Monday morning.
After the death of his wife, Mr. Joshi’s lawyer Deepak Chauhan made an application for interim bail in the special court for the prevention of cases of the Money Laundering Act.
Chauhan said, “The court granted him interim bail for four days.”
After the completion of the formalities, Mr. Joshi, along with his lawyer, arrived at his residence for his wife’s funeral.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, State Congress chief Govind Singh Dotsara, opposition leader Tikaram Jul, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and several other Congress party leaders mourned the death.
BJP leader and former opposition leader Rajendra Rathore visited Shri Joshi’s residence to express grief.
