Theater theater in Arunachal receives answers from Haryana

More than 50 students of Haryana have been arrested in a racket cheating a collective examination in Arunachal Pradesh. Students taking a recruitment examination conducted by CBSE for non-teaching posts in Navodaya Vidyalayala Committee used electronic equipment related to Jind, Haryana. While the students have been arrested, the police is searching for a mastermind or people who ork the operation in Haryana from 2,600 km away.

On 18 May, CBSE conducted the recruitment examination for non-teaching posts, including Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Lab Attendant (LA), which consists of examination centers located in VKV Chimpu and Kingkap Public School in Itanagar.

During the Lab Attendant Examination in the evening, the Arunachal Pradesh Police was called to the Kingkap Public School to investigate a student due to his suspicious behavior. The student had a small electronic device and a small earpiece.

23 candidates were caught from the examination center. Another suspect was caught in Vivekananda Center Vidyalayala. The rest of the accused were arrested due to the latter investigation.

“The examination was stopped for a brief period. On a deepest investigation, we found that the students appearing in the second examination of the morning also had such equipment. Addressing them at the Rohit conference, Superintendent of Police (Capital) Superintendent of Police (Capital).

Police said more students were arrested from hotels and nearby areas.

“53 candidates have been arrested for attempting to use advanced electronic devices including GSM-competent gadgets and micro earpieces to cheat during the examination. From them, 29 equipment was confiscated, and many arrested have already confessed their crimes,” said Mr. Singh.

According to the police, the candidates were in touch with a syndicate, which claimed to help clean any examination. Mr. Singh said that candidates were asked to select remote areas as their examination centers.

Once the admit card was issued, the candidates were provided with GSM-based equipment and trained in their thoughtful use.

Explaining the cheating process, Mr. Singh said, “Electronic device is hidden in undergarments and a small earpiece, which is not visible with naked eyes, fit deep inside the ear. It enables real -time communication with external handlers. Candidates are asked which question paper sets. The other side answer.”

Police suspect that the question paper was leaked.

Mr. Singh further said that similar suspicious activities have been reported in other centers of Dimapur, Sikkim and Dehradun – which are all now under active investigation.

The case has been registered against 53 persons under the new Nana Code (BNS), Information Technology (IT) Act, and Public Examination (Prevention of Inappropriate Instruments) Act, 2024 against 53 persons.

The police is now working with the interstate counterparts to detect the broad network behind the operation.
