The Republic of Slovenia is inviting Indian students to apply for scholarship for 2025–26 academic year, which is available for short-term mobility programs. From 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026, this scholarship can be given for a maximum period of 10 months.
The Center of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programs (CMPIUS) will look after the application and evaluation process. This scholarship program is open to university/college students, graduates and PhD applicants who want to make a part of their studies or research at a Slovenian Higher Education Institute. It should be noted that these scholarships are not applicable to full degree programs.
The age limit for applicants is 26 years for studies (26 years before the scholarship period ends, applicants should display proficiency in Sloven unless otherwise agree with the mentor or supervisor.
The scholarship package includes:
- Monthly stipend of 400 EUR (subject to periodic review and adjustment)
- Free housing in student dormitory (covered by CMPIUS)
- Subsidized food through Slovenia’s student organization
- Basic medical insurance for non-EU applicants (provided by CMPIUS if no health insurance agreement exists between Slovenia and the country of the applicant)
The Ministry of Education, Government of India does not play a role in enrollment or selection process; The final decisions are made by the donor country, Slovenia.
