The strongest layer of Google for Google accounts and mobile devices will be found with new features with advanced protection, Android 16. Announced on Tuesday, new features were displayed during Android Show: I/O version. Mountain view-based tech veteran stated that the next recurrence of Android operating system will now bring a device-level security setting for advanced security. Additionally, new features for the device log, preventing USB-based attacks, and avoiding dangers from unsafe network have also been added to the system.
Google’s advanced safety upgrade
In a press release, the Tech Giant expanded the new features in advanced protection. In particular, the strongest security system for Android is aimed at risk individuals such as journalists, elected officials and public data. It can also be used by those who prefer security.
To enroll in the Advanced Protection Program (APP) of Android, users require at least two physical feeding safety keys. After receiving them, they need to go to the enrollment page to register their main and backup security keys. After successful registration, users will only be able to sign in to use their safety key and password.
Advanced security also brings many security facilities such as limited installation outside the Play Store, theft detection and offline device lock, and spam and scam security features in Google messages.
With Android 16, users will also get a new intrusion logging feature. The feature safely takes the device log back into the cloud environment. Google claims that data is saved in “privacy conservation and tampering manner”, and is accessible only to the user.
A new USB security will also be added that will convert any USB connections into charging-cavalry connections to prevent physical attacks on the device. Additionally, the equipment protected by advanced protection will disable auto-purifying to unsecure the Wi-Fi network to prevent any possible hacking attack.
In particular, users who choose to activate advanced security (or keep it active) after the release of Android 16 will get immediate access to the core suits of security features. The above new features will be added to the suite at the end of this year. Google has not confirmed a specific rollout timeline.
