Top court relief for pre-IAS officer Pooja chas

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court has allowed anticipatory bail for pre-pre-trainee officer Pooja Khedkar, who made headlines on the claim last year that he lied about physical disability, changed his surname and made a backward class certificate to vacate the competitive civil service examination.

This means whether Ms. Khedkar should be arrested as part of the Delhi Police’s investigation, then she should be released on bail, on the condition of providing a cash certainty of Rs 35,000.

Meanwhile, he is warned not to interfere in the investigation in any way, including to affect the witnesses or try to tamper with the material on the record.

In addition, the judicial order of November 1, 2024 was also asked difficult questions – from the Delhi High Court – who refused his bail; The High Court then ruled that Pooja Khedkar’s works, Prima Feshi, meant to cheat and her steps were part of ‘a big conspiracy’.

However, in its judgment on Tuesday afternoon, the Supreme Court rejected the conclusion of the Delhi High Court that Ms. Khedkar did not cooperate with the investigating officers.

‘What is the meaning of’ not to cooperate ‘? ” Justice BV Nagrathana asked, “She has not committed a murder … it is not an NDPS (anti -drug law) is not a crime. She will cooperate.”

This is the second time that the Supreme Court has refused relief for Ms. Khedkar from the questions of the Delhi High Court order; The first was in January, when it was said, “Regarding the nature of crimes … to keep in mind in mind … This is a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail.”

Till now the Supreme Court had given interim security to Ms. Khedkar from arrest; Passed in January, the order was extended in the final hearing in the case, which was on 18 March.

At the hearing, Justice Nagrathana and SC Sharma gestured to the Delhi Police, which is investigating the case, that Ms. Khedkar filed an affidavit in which she confirmed that she would cooperate.

What was Pooja Khedkar’s charge?

Ms. Khedkar is accused of presenting fake certificates to claim privileges reserved for candidates of other backward classes and physical disabled people.

These privileges included additional efforts to clean the IAS examinations.
