UGC NET 2025: The registration window for the UGC NET 2025 June session will shut down today, May 12, 2025. According to the official notification issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), candidates will have to complete their online application form by 11:59 pm tonight on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) has organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the posts of Assistant Professor on behalf of UGC and to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges.
For the June 2025 cycle, the UGC-NET exam will be conducted in 85 subjects from 21 June to 30 June 2025, as confirmed in the official UGC release.
UGC NET 2025: Steps to register
step 1. Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in
step 2. Click on the link with ‘Application Form’ and choose ‘New Registration’.
step 3. Fill the individual and educational details required to complete the registration.
step 4. Upload scanned passport-shaped photographs and signatures in the JPEG format.
Step 5. Apply UGC NET application fee online.
Step 6. Save and submit the application form.
Step 7. Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates are advised that applications will be accepted only through online mode. It will not be entertained to present the form through posts, emails, or any other method. Additionally, only one application form per candidate is allowed; Many submissions will rejection.

Type: Multiple choice question (mcq)
Center: Teaching/research qualification, logic ability, understanding of reading and general awareness.
Paper 2
Mark: 200
Question: 100
Type: Multiple choice question (mcq)
Center: Domain-specific knowledge in subject selected by the candidate.
The total duration of the examination is 3 hours (180 minutes) without any break, and all questions are mandatory.
