Union Minister at Sikkim Airport

Taking a keen interest at the Pakyong Airport, which serves Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim and has not seen any flight operations for almost two years, Union Minister Pabitra Margerita said he is optimistic that it will soon be functional again.

During the visit to Pakang district on Friday, Mr. Margerita, who is the Foreign Minister, who is the Foreign Minister, reviewed the development in agriculture, education, health and civil aviation areas.

Speaking about the Greenfield Airport at Pakong, Mr. Margerita said, “There are some technical issues, the officials of the airport authority updated me about the current situation. I think all technical problems will be solved, and the ministers of the civilian aviation and local government are discussing this.

“Although Pakong is a new district and is just three years old, it is making good progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Prem Singh Gole. I am optimistic that Pakistan will be one of the best districts in the coming years. We are implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plans and plans effectively,” he said.

On re-starting the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Nathu La Pass, the minister said, “We are making our best for the conservation of our culture along with overall development. Mansarovar Yatra is part of our 1,000-year-old heritage”.
