Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the health officials to be cautious about the spread of Kovid -19 in the state, but also said that there was nothing to worry about as far as Uttar Pradesh was concerned.
During a review meeting with the Health Department on the Covid-19 situation, the Chief Minister said, “There is nothing to worry about in view of the current situation in Uttar Pradesh, but it is important to be cautious.”
“The Government of India has not yet issued any guidelines on Covid-19. But in view of the increase in cases of JN.1 editions in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, we need to be vigilant. All teams in medical colleges and hospitals should be alert.”
He said that personnel in hospitals should be cautious to deal with emergency matters.
He asked the officials to focus on the prevention of dengue, malaria and art, or black fever.
The Chief Minister said, “Ten-bed ICU, ventilator units, oxygen plants and other features should be kept functional during the previous Covid Surges. The state’s health facility is capable of dealing with any situation.”
Highlighting the infrastructure developed during the previous waves of the epidemic, the Chief Minister directed that 10-bed ICU, ventilator and oxygen plants installed in district hospitals should always be operational.
He emphasized regular testing of these important facilities and the importance of timely maintenance.
He also called for continuous training and effective deployment of health workers, recognizing his commendable contribution during the epidemic.
Chief Minister Adityanath also instructed the relevant departments to start preparations to stop seasonal communicable diseases such as dengue, malaria and art.
He directed the Health Department, Medical Education Department and the local administration to work closely to ensure active measures.
Concluding the review, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated that the Uttar Pradesh government is fully prepared and committed to address all possible health challenges including Covid-19.
He assured that the state’s healthcare system is cautious, competent and equipped for the protection of public health.
According to the official statement, Chief Minister Adityanath said that the central government has not issued any new advice about Covid-19.
Nevertheless, given the increasing number of JN.1 cases in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong, he emphasized the need for continuous monitoring in Uttar Pradesh.
He instructed all medical colleges, district hospitals and health units across the state to remain on high alert and be fully prepared to handle any possible emergency.
