Officials said on Monday on Monday that an IndiGo flight for Varanasi made an emergency landing at the airport in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, in which the 89 -year -old woman died.
An official said that the Mumbai-Karanasi flight made an undetermined landing at Chiklathana Airport at around 10 am on Sunday.
Sushila Devi, a native of Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh, began to fly from Mumbai and felt in unhealthy mid-hwa. The woman flew at the airport, about 350 km from Mumbai, and a medical team investigated the woman, but she was already dead, she said.
“IndiGo Flight 6E-5028, working from Mumbai to Varanasi, was transferred to Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) on 6 April due to a medical emergency onboard. Despite quick medical attention, the passenger’s condition did not improve and was declared dead.”
The airline stated that all standard safety operating procedures were “followed” to ensure the good of passengers and crew on the board.
The statement said that IndiGo was in close contact with the woman’s family members, who died, offered “support and support” as per its requirement.
The airport official said the Midc Cidco Police Station made necessary formalities, and the flight proceeded to Varanasi’s further visit to Varanasi.
According to the airline, the body of the woman was sent to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
