Waterlogging after heavy rains in Bengaluru, trees uprooted


Bengaluru:

Heavy rains with thunderstorms whipped with Bengaluru, causing waterfall in many low -lying areas on Saturday night.

According to the Meteorological Department of India, the city received about 40 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.

Tree branches crashed in some parts of the state capital. The city has a Downpore brunt with Sai Layout severe floods.

Domestic goods were soaked in flood houses, vehicles were partially submerged and electronic items were damaged.

The affected families moved to safe places nearby.

According to the residents, the drains were convicted and claimed that the officials were repeatedly complained.

Many parts of the state are receiving good rainfall, especially Malnad region and coastal Karnataka.

In its daily bulletin on Sunday, the department stated that the air reaching up to 30–40 km speed with light to moderate rains or thundered winds and strong winds is likely to occur in isolated places in the next three hours.

There may be temporary disruption of electricity in some areas, slight traffic may be a snarl and potential turmoil of weak trees.

It has advised people in these districts to stay indoors, close windows and doors and avoid travel if possible.
