“We lose 5 soldiers in Operation Sindoor”: Indian Army pays homage


New Delhi:

The Indian Army lost 5 soldiers in ‘Operation Sindoor’, in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. The army today said in a briefing, “I pay tribute to 5 fellow personnel from the armed forces, their sacrifices will always be remembered.”

The army also said that the Pakistan Army has reported about 35 to 40 personnel and small arms firing on the Line of Control between May 7 and May 10.

‘Operation Sindoor’ was started in retaliation for the Pahgam terror attack in early 7 May to destroy nine terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. All the subsequent vengeous for Pakistani crimes were performed under ‘Operation Sindoor’.

The army said, “Our goals were terror-oriented and later, once they started aerial infiltration and aerial operation on our infrastructure, we have used heavy weapons and may have been casualties, but they are still being assessed …” The army said.

Pakistan violated the ceasefire on Saturday a few hours after reaching an agreement with India. The army has warned that if there is a violation of the ceasefire, at night or later, it will be “fiercely”.

Lieutenant General Rajiv Gai said in a special briefing this evening that he sent a “hotline” message to his counterpart and a “hotline” message about India’s firm and if repeated, clear intentions to respond to ‘fierce’.
