What ISRO chief V Narayanan said after the EOS-09 satellite launch, it cannot be completed

Sriharikota:

Space agency president V Narayanan said that on Sunday, ISRO did not launch the launch of an Earth observation satellite on a PSLV-C61 rocket.

He said ISRO’s reliable polar satellite launch vehicle (PSLV) is a 4-phase rocket and the first two phases were normal.

“Today we targeted the 101st launch from Sriharikota, PSLVC61 EOS-09 Mission. PSLV is a four-phase vehicle and until the second phase, the performance was normal. The third phase of the motor began completely, but during the third phase of work we are watching an observation and the mission could not be completed,” said Sri Narayanan.

“We will return after the analysis,” he said in his brief address post the lift-off.

EOS-09 is a repeated satellite similar to the EOS-04 launched in 2022 that is designed with the purpose of the mission to ensure remote sensing data in operation applications for the user community and improve the frequency of observation.

The mission’s payload, a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) that is inside the satellite, is able to provide images for various earth observation applications under all weather conditions day and night.

It is important for all-veder, round-the-clock, imaging applications, including agriculture and forestry monitoring to disaster management, urban planning and national security.

The rocket was first launched on time at 5.59 pm.
