With ISRO satellite launch, to promote night -time monitoring capacity

New Delhi:

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is ready to launch a satellite that can see through clouds and at night, can add more muscles to India’s satellite-based monitoring capacity as New Delhi remains alert despite being calm on the border with Pakistan.

Set for launch from Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota at 5.59 am on Sunday, radar satellite will be launched on board on the board on the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). In the 101st launch of a large rocket by ISRO, 1,696 kg EOS-9 radar imaging satellite will be deployed 500 km above the Earth’s surface.

The indigenously designed “detective” satellite designed by ISRO’s Ur Rao Satellite Center in Bengaluru is equipped with C-Band Synthetic Aperture radar, which enables it to catch high-resolution images of the Earth’s surface in all weather conditions and in low light.

In addition to the existing constellation of more than 57 satellites, EOS-9 is already in space in India. These include four radar satellites in the class, which monitored the borders after the India-Pakistan tension increased after the Pahgam attack on 22 April and the military action from both sides.

The satellite Cartosat -3 will provide much better imagery than the satellite, which becomes blind at night. The latter can lower images with a resolution of half a meter of its low earth orbit.

The chairman of ISRO, Dr. V. Narayanan said, “At least 10 satellites are working round and round to ensure the security and safety of the country. The nation has to monitor its 7,000-km sea shore and the entire northern part. Without satellite and drone technology, the country cannot achieve it.”

Talking about the mission, the Union Minister of Space and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, “Prosecons, Teamwork and Engineering Power India’s space ambitions.”

The launch will be attended by several members of Parliament. The launch will be attended by several members of Parliament. To please the space community in Sriharikota will also be a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee related to the Department of Science, Technology, Environment, Jungle and Climate Change under the chairmanship of Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita.
