An official said on Saturday that a 24-year-old woman died after allegedly fell from a roller coaster ride at an amusement park in the Kapashera area of South-West Delhi.
Police said in a statement that Priyanka, known as Priyanka, fell from a ride in the entertainment park known as Priyanka.
He said injuries on the woman’s body, including a bleed, a wound on the right leg, puncture wounds on the left leg and several wounds on the right front and several wounds on the left knee.
A senior police officer said that Priyanka was rushed to Manipal Hospital by her fiancé Nikhil, where doctors declared her dead.
An MLC (Medico-Legal case) was reported about the incident at the Kapashera police station, after which an investigating officer visited the hospital and collected medical reports.
“The injuries visible on the body include an ENT bleed, a wound on the right leg, puncture wounds on the left leg and several wounds on the right front and several wounds on the left knee,” the official said.
Nikhil told the police in his statement that he and Priyanka had engaged in February and went to fun and food villages and rode on a roller coaster ride around 6:15 pm on Thursday.
Priyanka allegedly fell during the ride after some stand broke, he said.
An official said an FIR has been lodged under Section 289 of BNS (behavior in relation to animals or machinery) and 106 (not to kill convicted murder of convicted murder).
He said that the post -mortem examination of the woman has been conducted and the body has been handed over to the family members.
Further investigation is going on to find out the exact sequence of events and responsibility for the incident, the police said.
Priyanka, a resident of Chanakyapuri, worked as a manager in a telecom company in Sector 3, Noida, said. Apart from his parents, he is left from a brother and a sister.
Priyanka’s brother Mohit told the police that her sister was associated with Nikhil from Najafgarh in February and was scheduled to get married in February next year.
On Thursday afternoon, Nikhil called Priyanka and invited her to go to the water park. They reached the Kapashera Water Park around 1 pm, where they boarded a roller coaster for a ride.
Mohit accused the water park officials of not maintaining proper security standards.
No immediate response was received from the amusement park.
