The video of this went viral on social media, in which many people were covered. Some called the Act ‘colonial’ and ‘racist’.
Union Minister for Central Coal and Mines. Kishan Reddy called it a derogatory task that reunires the mentality of a colonial era.
“In a shocking demonstration of service, the Telangana Congress government washed the local women and wiped the feet of Miss World contestants, a derogatory task that reunires the mentality of a colonial-era. In addition, it was done within the sanctity of the Ramappa temple and is also in closeness in the area where the divine Godeshads Sirma and Sir, the BJP said, BJP President.
He said, “The centenary old heritage of the Congress party has started kneeling in front of foreigners to appeal to the Indians to appeal to their high command. Revanth Reddy, in his frustrated dialect to influence the owners of Delhi, trample on the dignity and self-respect of Indian women,” He said in his post on ‘X’.
Kishan Reddy said, “To condemn the Congress national leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, an unconditional apology for Telangana women for condemnation and surrendering to the dignity, culture and self-esteem of our narrowness,” said Kishan Reddy.
The Chief Opposition Bharat President Committee (BRS) slammed the Congress government, saying that it breaks the self-esteem of Telangana. BRS leaders appealed to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to intervene.
BRS leaders alleged that local Dalits, tribals and economically disadvantaged women were forced to wash and wipe the feet of foreign beauty contests.
In a letter written to Sonia Gandhi, former BRS ministers and public representatives urged them to intervene immediately to restore the dignity of women of the state and to address the growing public dissatisfaction.
BRS leaders including former ministers Sabita Indra Reddy, Satyavati Rathod, Sunita Laxman Reddy and MLA Kova Lakshmi demanded an apology from Chief Minister Revantha Reddy.
The BRS leaders expressed deep pain over the fact that they termed the Congress government of insulting the women of Telangana and tarnishing the cultural heritage of the state.
He called Sonia Gandhi to ensure the Chief Minister to issue an unconditional public apology for the women of Telangana and take corrective measures to prevent the state’s pride and erosion.
