The National Commission for Women (NCW) has formed a three-member committee to investigate rape, gang-rap and blackmail cases related to a college students and alumni in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal.
The committee has been asked to submit a report within 10 days. NCW took the fact that after seeing that media reports were harassed.
Sources said that the fifth survivor has come forward to file a complaint. Gang-Bal interview has been confirmed, he said.
A video of Survivor was found in the mobile phone of the accused, which was identified as Farhan, sources said, another accused named Ali was also seen in a terrible video.
The report said that several other women students were allegedly gang-rapped and blackmailed by the accused from the same college.
Many of the remaining people allegedly did not register police complaints for fear of dangers, losses and threats.
NCW nominated retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Nirmal Kaur as the chairman of the committee. Ms. Kaur was the Director General of Police, Director General of Jharkhand.
Other members are Jabalpur High Court counsel Nirmala Nayak and NCW Undercractive Ashutosh Pandey.
The NCW asked the committee to investigate the allegations, talk to the concerned authorities and the survivors, and recommend remedial action to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
NCW said that members of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) can help the committee.
