The National Commission for Women (NCW) has noticed the troll store against Himanshi Narwal, wife of Naval Officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who was killed in the Pahgam Terror Attack on 22 April. He was being targeted for his opinion.
“Many citizens were killed in a terrorist attack in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Along with other people, Lieutenant Vinay Narwal was asked about his religion and then shot and killed. The attack hurt the whole country. NCW said in a post on X,” It is not even acceptable to troll him about his personal life about his personal life.
The panel said, “Any agreement or disagreement should always be expressed by decency and within constitutional boundaries. The National Commission for Women is committed to protecting every woman’s honor and dignity.”
NCW President Vijaya Rahatkar posted separately on X that some people would not have preferred Ms. Narwal’s comment, but it is not right to trol her and target her with personal comments.
The couple, who were getting married a few days before the terrorist strike, were visiting Kashmir for their honeymoon, when the 26 -year -old naval officer was killed along with 26 other people in a cold blood.
Ms. Narwal’s heart -wrenching scene sat near her husband’s body, her marriage still shaken the whole nation on her hands.
The terrorist attack angrily reacted on social media, with a part of people targeting Kashmiris and Muslims. In her first public remarks after the attack, Ms. Narwal appealed to the nation not to be hostile to Muslims or Kashmiris. “I want the whole country to pray for him (Vinay), that wherever he is, he has found peace. All this I ask,” she said. Ms. Narwal said, “There is something else that I want to say. She also demanded that the people behind the attack be brought for justice.
But the appeal for peace attracted a wave of abuses directed on the young woman, whose world crashed a few days after her marriage. While some commented on her personal life, others said that she should not get her husband’s pension. Amid trolling, many people supported him and urged the authorities to pay attention.
