World leaders call S Jaishankar, condemn the Pahgam terror attack


New Delhi:

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar condemned the Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir from various world leaders on 22 April, where Pakistan-respected militants killed 26 people, most of the tourists, and injured many others.

Shri Jaishankar said that India is firm to bring criminals, planners and supporters of this attack for justice.

Shri Jaishankar received a call from the UN Secretary -General, Antonio Guterres.

In a post on X, he said, “A call came from the United Nations SG Antonio Guterres. Appreciate his uneven condemnation of terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Agreed on the importance of accountability. India is resolved to resolve that criminals, planners and backers of this attack are brought for justice.”

Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Foreign Minister, also called Jaishankar and discussed the need to counter terrorism in all forms.

Shri Jaishankar also thanked his Sierra Leon counterpart for the strong condemnation of the Pahgam terror attack.
He said in a post on X, “Today Sierra Leone spoke with Timothy Musa Kaaba. Sierra Leone also reviewed our bilateral cooperation to his strong condemnation of terrorist attack in Pahgam.”

After the attack, India has strongly protested against Pakistan to support cross -border terrorism. At the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23 April, India decided to hold the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty in 1960 in the 1960s, until Pakistan reliably and unchanged ends its support for terrorism and close the integrated attic closes.
