The Chinese technology firm’s alleged flagship smartphone Xiaomi 16 is expected to be launched later this year. A tipster has now revealed information about the display and battery on the alleged Xiaomi 16, which confirms the first leaked details of the handset. Xiaomi 16 has been touched to debut in September, and as per recent reports, Qualcomm’s next generation Snapdragon 8 Elite is likely to be one of the first smartphones to debut with 2 chips.
Xiaomi 16 performance, battery specification (required)
According to the upcoming Xiaomi 16 Weibo tipster digital chat station (translated from Chinese), “6.3X” will be equipped with performance. This indicates that the display of the smartphone will be between 6.31 inches and 6.9 inches. Another leaker had earlier claimed that Xiaomi 16 would sports a 6.32 -inch screen.
While the performance current on Xiaomi 16 may not be greater than the Xiaomi 15 model, the tipster indicates that the company will equip the handset with a very large battery. According to the Digital Chat Station post on Weibo, Xiaomi 16 will pack the 7,000mAh battery.
This is much larger than the 5,240mAh battery on the company’s latest flagship. Tipster claims another leak from April to suggest that the handset will arrive with a 7,000mAh battery. Currently it is not clear whether the Xiaomi 16 will facilitate a thick body than its predecessor to accommodate this large battery.
The Xiaomi 16 Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to be one of the first smartphones to be equipped with 2 chips. Qualcomm is expected to unveil the successor of its Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip around the same time.
We can expect the Xiaomi 16 to offer some upgrade on the existing Xiaomi 15 flagship, which has a 6.36-inch OLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, 50-Megapixel Triple Camera Setup, 32-megapixel selfie camera and 5,240mAh battery. More details on the handset are expected to have an online surface in the coming weeks or months.
