Xiaomi on Wednesday released its financial results for the first quarter of the current year, with Rs. 1.31 lakh crore for January -March period. This is in the second consecutive quarter in which the company has Rs. 1.2 lakh crore mile stone. Compared to the same quarter in the previous year, Tech Giants claimed to reach an increase of 47.4 percent year-on-year (YOY). Xiaomi also claimed that its adjusted net profit is Rs. For the first time, 12,680 crore, 64.5 percent marks the growth growth.
Xiaomi credits the premiumment strategy for strong revenue numbers
In a press release, the Chinese tech veteran posted positive revenue numbers in all its commercial divisions in Q1 2025. Giving credit to its premiumment strategy, which refers to the company’s efforts to transfer the high-margin, premium equipment from the budget offer to the product portfolio, Xiaomi said the newly launched products have seen a strong reception from consumers.
During this period, the company claimed that its smartphone revenue increased by 8.9 percent yoy, which was Rs. 59,961 crores. The most notable Xiaomi 15 is 15 ultra, which was launched in February, and sales growth was seen up to 90 percent compared to its predecessor during the same period last year. Overall, the Tech Veteran said that it has given the average selling price (ASP) of the smartphone to Rs. Q1 14,372 in 2025, marking a record high.
On the other hand, its Internet-off-Things (IOTs) and smart home devices were also said that the earlier year increased by 58.7 percent compared to the same quarter, Rs. 38,276 crore. In this category, Xiaomi’s hero products were its washing machines and refrigerators. The company’s electric vehicle (EV), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other new initiatives also Rs. Xiaomi mentioned in a press release that its global smartphone shipment was 4.18 crore units in the given quarter, which continued to grow yoy development for seven consecutive quarters. Coming to the company’s IOT and Smart Home segment, Xiaomi claimed that its air conditioner shipments exceeded 11 million units, marking a significant 65 percent YOY development. Its refrigerator and washing machine shipment registered 8.8 lakh units and 7.4 lakh units respectively.
The company also claimed that its global tablet shipment increased by 56.1 percent, but the actual shipment number was not shared. Additionally, the total number of users with five or more devices connected to its AIOT platform (except smartphones, tablets and laptops) reached 1.93 crore, with 26.5 percent yoy development, Xiaomi said. In addition, the Tech veteran claimed that the monthly active users of its Mi Home App and AI Assistant became 10.64 crores (19.5 percent yoy growth) and 14.67 crore (17.5 percent YOY development) respectively.
