Yogi Adityanath accused the Waqf Board of Land encroachment, it is called ‘Land Mafia’

Prayer: I am not sure what to do.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday launched a scary attack on the Waqf Board, alleging land encroachments and claimed that its “arbitrary claims” will no longer be tolerated at public and historical sites.

Addressing a gathering in prayer, Yogi Adityanath said, “Waqf board was making baseless claims on lands in cities. Even during the preparation of Kumbh Mela, he announced that he had the land of the incident. We had to ask that the Waqf Board had turned into a land mafia?” He emphasized that under his government, such encroachments were removed, and the mafia was excluded from Uttar Pradesh.

He said, “Encroachments were encroached in various places including the sacred land attached to Nishad Raj. But it would not be allowed to continue. Despite their objections, a grand and divine Kumbh Mela was organized.”

The Chief Minister also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for taking legislative action against the alleged irregularities of the Waqf Board.

He said, “We are grateful to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister for ensuring that the arbitrary practices of the Waqf Board have been curbed. An important work addressing the issue has already been passed in the Lok Sabha and now approval will be given in the Rajya Sabha.

The Waqf (Amendment) Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and was introduced in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

Yogi Adityanath insisted that the state will no longer tolerate illegal claims and national interests should come first. “Those who are loyal to the nation will always find their way forward,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated an exhibition on the occasion of the ‘One District, One Product’ (Odop) initiative on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Nishadraj Guha, a close partner of Lord Ram, on the basis of stories related to Lord Ram and Raja Nishadraj. He was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers Nand Gopal Gupta and Sanjay Nishad.

As part of the ceremonies, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 181 development projects worth Rs 579 crore in prayer.

The ‘Maha Kumbh 2025 prayer,’ trained guides, sailors, and homestay operators, who contributed significantly, were vested with appreciation certificates.

Additionally, under the Chief Minister’s Matsya Sampada Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 20 crore was provided to 1,400 fish farmers.

He highlighted the historic bond between Lord Ram and Nishadraj, which is a parallel with the current political alliance between the BJP and the Nishad Party. He said, “The remarkable friendship between Lord Ram and Nishadraj is once again seen as an alliance of the BJP and Nishad Party,” he said.

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to restore the historical significance of prayer. He said, “Prayagraj is no longer Allahabad. It is a confluence of great traditions. People who tried to hide its identity, did so for their vote-bank politics.”

Yogi Adityanath also talked about the importance of protecting someone’s legacy. “Everyone lives for themselves, but those who retain the traditions and heritage of their ancestors are those who remain immortal,” they said.

Considering the recent Maha Kumbh, Yogi Adityanath said that this incident gave an example for the world.

“No other belief can not organize an event of such magnitude – only RAM devotees require unwavering dedication for the nation, and cannot manage such a grand event without it,” he said that more than 66 crore devotees visited prayers and left with a spirit of spiritual fulfillment.

Killing the previous governments, Yogi Adityanath said that today’s belief and respect was threatened by Pragraj today. He said, “There is nothing more than earning respect and identity. The previous governments were trying to eradicate this identity, handing over the mafia to Uttar Pradesh to nourish criminals in every district. However, our double-engine government is restoring the legacy of our ancestors in a grand manner.”

The Chief Minister also mentioned the success of the state’s fisheries scheme, under which loans worth crores of rupees have been distributed.

“Earlier, no one knew where this money went. Now, benefits are reaching the people directly,” he said.

Yogi Adityanath credited Maha Kumbh to give Prayagraj international prominence. “Earlier, people knew prayers as a city next to Varanasi. But today, the world recognizes it for its Maha Kumbh,” he said.
